In Montreal, hockey is much more than just a sport: it’s a culture, a source of pride, and a legacy. So when we were approached to collaborate with the Hockey Hall of Fame, it wasn’t just a great opportunity for us—it was a true privilege.
Over the years, Hunter Exhibitions, a specialist in exhibition wall systems, has designed several display cases that allow the Hall of Fame to connect with its fans across the country. Contributing, in our own way, to the display of such iconic trophies and artifacts is a source of great pride for our team.
Customer Overview
The Hockey Hall of Fame is an iconic institution located in Toronto, dedicated to preserving the history of ice hockey and honoring its greatest figures.
It houses some of the sport’s most prestigious trophies and artifacts, including those from the NHL. Founded in 1961, the Hockey Hall of Fame’s mission is to preserve this legacy and share it with present and future generations.

The Challenge
When an exhibition needs to travel, the requirements are quite different from those of a permanent installation. The Hockey Hall of Fame’s exhibition had to, and still must, meet several constraints:
- Frequent transport between different cities
- Quick setup and takedown
- Easy handling by different teams
- Maximum protection of high-value items
- Adaptability to various environments (arenas, schools, municipal institutions)
The challenge was therefore clear: to design a solution that was robust, secure, customizable, and logistically efficient, without compromising the visual experience.
Our Approach
To meet their needs, we developed custom display cases based on the MBA Scenario wall system. This system is renowned for its sturdiness, durability, tool-free assembly, modularity, and ease of handling.

Working closely with their project manager, we design, assemble, and update these display cases to meet the museum’s evolving needs. Each unit is prepared, graphically designed, and carefully packed in our workshop so it’s ready to hit the road. Nearly 20 years later, the first display cases we created are still in use, concrete proof that durability isn’t just a marketing promise, but a standard for us.
Thanks to this approach, hockey’s most iconic trophies and artifacts now travel safely, impress crowds wherever they go, and continue to inspire fans—a source of pride we are honored to share.
